Students from our school may be supported via Tailored Learning which provides programs to support individual pathway success. Programs include accessible connection to the SA Curriculum, VET courses, SACE and university pathways with wrap around Youth Worker Case Management. Entry into Tailored Learning support is negotiated via the relevant channel leader (Year 7/8, Year 9/10, Year 11/12).
To provide individualised support to connect young people to meaningful learning leading to further study and/or fulltime employment. With wrap around Youth Worker case management. Meaningful learning can look like SA Curriculum connection, SACE completion, VET course and/or SBAT, and/or transition to work programs.
Our cohort are Port Lincoln High School students who have been referred to Tailored Learning support via relevant Channel Leaders and/or the Port Lincoln High School staff Tool Box Crew.
Tailored Learning provides the opportunity for students to work with a diverse and experienced multidisciplinary team. Our team consists of teachers, accredited youth workers, classroom support staff, mentors, a range of service providers and registered trainers.
Our support team walk alongside students throughout their journey at Tailored Learning. This team provide planning, goal setting, career advice, exploration and advocacy for options and services to meet students’ holistic needs. Our individualised support assists students to engage with their learning and pathway planning for the future.
Success is Personal and Achievable – Every student’s definition of success is recognised, celebrated, and supported. Academic achievement, sense of accomplishment, lifelong learning, and diverse post-school pathways are continuously nurtured for all.
Positive Connections Are Embedded – Healthy relationships within the school community, including family, friends, teachers, and support members, are actively fostered. Opportunities for cultural connection and access to relevant services are established and maintained.
Belonging and Safety Are Guaranteed – All students experience a secure environment where they belong, feel safe to be themselves, are supported, and encouraged to take learning risks. Support is readily available, ensuring no student is left without access or advocacy.
